Re: Where did you surf today ?
Well I don’t do a full days work anymore so it’s hypothetical anyway.
Funny the water looks murkier today than Friday. Wasn’t that much rain.

Re: Where did you surf today ?
I’ve had the same thing, had hardly any symptoms during isolation but definitely feeling flat when I do anything. Slowly easing back into laps in the pool. No surf yet.The Mighty Sunbird wrote: ↑Sun Mar 20, 2022 11:34 amLeft looking good at Bondi. Day one out of covid iso I still feel fatigued so didn’t hit it. Also still looks a bit too brown for my liking.
I didn’t notice the lethargy till I got out walking. Does that count as ongoing symptoms so I don’t have to go to work tomorrow?
Re: Where did you surf today ?
Not big but really fun for the late surf. I'm going to miss daylight savings.
Re: Where did you surf today ?
Down south now, expecting 3,500 kj (now that has real meaning) and offshores by midday

Re: Where did you surf today ?
North Point had some double overhead 3000kj waves for about an hour around 2pm. A dozen or so out were taking some beatings when they were caught inside. Some awesome barrels that usually shut down really hard.
I surfed South Point for about an hour, only five out. Got two good ones, pulled back on a wide one that was the wave of the day. Next moved right in close to the exposed rocks and blew the take-off, got picked up off the bottom twice and held down badly, struggled to the surface to get only 2 breaths before the next one hit, repeated twice more, desperately trying to get one or 2 breaths each time and trying to relax. Finally it ended, two guys paddled over to check if I was OK, I was just draped over my board sucking in as much oxygen as I could.
Mate on shore who was watching through binoculars told me later he thought I was a goner.

Gotta die of something
No malice intended. It's much less intense than NP, but it worked me over also. I was at my prime and just couldn't deal with backhand doh NP at all. Some of the unknowns out there making the seemingly impossible blew my mind.

Re: Where did you surf today ?
Each of four I had yesterday did a double holdown, and it was only a 13s swell so I only got two breaths each time. I was even trying to grab onto the rocks to try and stop the double hold downs. At one point I was completely disoriented and didn't know if I was swimming up or down, luckily it was up.

16s to 20s period waves in Indo are a much more leisurely affair.
