70k south, just on an hour. If I go up Legion's way it's also 70k but it's across the city as I'm in the south so it's a longer journey.

When I was in Sydney it was 20 minutes to Cronulla and 35 min to Garie.

I guess it’s like living in Brisbane.
Had a fun surf at Tama.

I got continually flogged and had a cnut of a time generally. Nice conditions for it though.

I had one of the best sessions I can remember, minimal crowds too.

I was at Bronte. Usuallyhatesurfingthe reef. Had a really fun surf out there last week though so thought I would have another bash. The rip kept dragging you out to that big right on the outside that was breaking in the larger sets. Except it was also dragging you south today. So it was a merry go round. Basically too crowded for an old coot.

my thoughts exactly, Nick. (going on the above)
Mind you, I stumbled upon the vision splendid at Bronte inadvertantly at around 1015, after collecting a chap I support from St Vinnies aged care joint up the road after his 3 week respite stay.

He was delusional, determined to board a flight to NY later this day to preside over some fantastic legal case (former judge dude w Dementia).
I was grounded in realistic gobsmackedness at the sight of empty overhead peaks fanned by a light offshore beyond the palms as I Beanpoled a primo carspace across from the cafes.

He had black tea, I had an espresso.

It cost 9 bucks, the scenery priceless, the latent angst I felt, insurmountable.

Yesterday my 7’4 pipe dream got a run.
Got some nice big drops, but after the first section the wave wasn’t so serious.

I surfed Tama, was decent size but not gnarly. Didnt have a great session, hard to get in position but got a couple nice ones. Planets just aligned for me today.

Bronte was not working at all when I checked it about 9ish.
