How'd it end with old mate and his board in the rocks?

No. the break is well south of the pebble and there is a short frame grab of the north WCI break.
In short; Coogee (Bobroi) doesn't barrel OK! (so go home STFU FFS!)

God knows what other people call it, but it's right off the north headland of Coogee Beach. Saw some awesome surfing from that swell, probably the best paddle in balls to the wall stuff I've seen live, although I think that footage may have been from closer to the start of that swell.

It got cleaner and better shape a bit later, assuming it's the swell I'm thinking of.

that's great footage. big waves and good surfing.
i vomitted a fair bit of salt water onto coogee beach during one of the winter swells. luckily it wasn't that size.

Yes, I'd like to also know what happened to the poor guy who lost his board. I bet he'd like to get hold of those dickheads who were laughing in the background when he was pummelled by those big sets ........ at least he had the guts to get out there.

Generally good video because of the rarity factor but I found parts of it frustrating as it showed many takeoffs and bottom turns then just cut to the next wave when it could have showed the entire ride.

FAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRK!!!!

How's the sound flogging the kneelo bloke cops near the start!!? I salute him attempting to paddle in to something so unmakeable.

Who's the guy on the yellow board? He's my new hero. 8)

the rides are pretty much that long
those super long one are the huge ones that break way outside
normally u bottom turn ride it for a bit and it goes fat into the cliffs

I did find it amazing how the poor guy caught inside was able to project his thoughts onto the screen in enormous letters....
