Best of luck with a healthy recovery and an enjoyable first time back in the water after that.

Man; that's shocking news. Get well soon Daz. Your bro made a full recovery from his accident and so will you. All the best.

Man that place can be absolutely horrendous if you have just a small accident.
The same friggin’ tools they use for woodwork over there are also used in the hospitals.

What a spin out. One minute I’m reading about his pre trip stoke and the next thing that happens.
If you’re connected to the WWW and you can read this message and all the rest of em>>>>

I really wish you the best and a speedy recovery.

good luck

I wasn't sure what he (puurri) meant so I left it alone

But please don't quote my post and then add some of your own comments so it looks like my words especially on something as sensitive as this, thanks.

Jeez I hope this is one of those stories that turn out to be exaggerated.

Will see what the boat telegraph says about this and report any news.

Caring thoughts to all Longbums in the meantime.

FWIW as a supposed lowlife I offer the following:

As I told him Daz and me are related (long way round) but still so.

Having a series of major brain ops (5) I know the ropes and esp those of the ineffectual hand wringing of some of the "prayers, get well soon" brigade. BFD. It's up to the presence of family and the individual to work through it and mind you it will take some time with the certainty of some personality changes.

It's a BIG HARD ROAD for Daz and I wish him well with partial recovery as anyone will never be "same". If family care to PM me I can assist with what they are up against and esp talk them and him (when compis) through what he will face in the future.

In short, get him to a competent neuro asap whether Indo or not but the longer the wait the worse the result and rehab. Otherwise butt out eh?

:? I was expecting some story of an absoulote reef drilling, jet ski? Was it some random jetski or was he having a tow session.

Anyway hope it gets well soon, seems like a talented bloke.

Longbum/Daz. I don't know you, but you seem pretty popular with these guys @ RS. Thoughts and prayers go with you and your family. Am so sorry to hear of this and after you were so pumped about going over there. Best wishes

Sounds to me like he's having a dig at jetskiers. Even though he didn't say it, I'm sure that, like the rest of us, he wishes longbum a quick recovery.

Bad news for sure and I hope he gets through it. Had a yarn with him in his shop a few months back and he's a genuinely nice bloke.
