North Coast NSW is def shark capital of the East Coast. I think the shelf comes in close to shore up there. Its never too warm for Whites. They love it up as far as sunshine coast. Long live the Great White!

She's very lucky that she got away with just a small arm injury :!:

I reckon they're full of it, Seppo's trying to cash in on a shark scare, saw the bite on the ski and the "flesh wound" seems a bit iffy for a 2.5m White?

There's been quite a few reports of Whites around the North coast, some pretty reliable. Apparently blokes got circled out of Tallows last couple of weeks.

At the moment the whales and calves are passing through on their southern sojourn, so its that time of year. Salmon around chasing pilly schools as well.

Byron's got a regular visitation history by Whites, so why not.

Yeah.........well I hope it pulls into Newport for a while to recharge it's batteries on the way back home........

Would be good to have a few "sightings" up here to thin the crowds out a little.

Just got back from Byron, and had an encounter with a Noah at Suffolk Park, which made me exit from the line up, only one other guy in the water at the time as well.

I guy I know did a swim from the Pass to Main Beach whilst I was there, I wonder what he's thinking about that now.

There's a massive sand bank that runs from the front of the lighthouse to as far as the eye can see from Tallows, and has a deep channel between it and the beach.

Beware they're there!!

Just got back from Sussex Inlet yesterday from a few days of surfing and fishing. We pulled up at the north end of Cudmirrah for a surf on Monday morning to find some nice 4 foot waves full of dolphins and 3 surfing it.
As we were about to walk down the track we noticed the 3 all got out at once and the reasons was that under the pod of dolphins was a shark at least 3 meters long. We surfed a peak about 200 meters south with our feet up with a local bloke.

Yes they do Bretto. Especially if it was a young and cautious Shark. Whites will often give an exploratory bite, which was the case in this instance.
