Don vs. Winki?

Post by bubba » Fri Jul 06, 2007 5:45 pm

Don appears to have found a new wave to photograph and film!

What are people's opinions on this? Where would you most like to see footage from?

Isn't it bad enough you have the RHCP in your sig? Quoting a lyric about f*ckin' a porpoise is just a bit too much...

oh...

sorry...

Beg my pardon.

i didn't realise you were recognised as one of the greatest rock bands of all time karlos. When i find your name in iTunes and your ever so inspirational lyrics to your amazing repertoire of songs sung with those three amazing musicians in your band i'll listen to it. But until then, i'll keep requesting you leave your D*&K inside that monkey of yours, your hands tied behind your back and the apple in your mouth.

Kapiche?

Like I said, 'f*ckin' a porpoise'. Surely you could've found something better to use as a signature, even from amongst the sh*t that band's produced. And as for it being an inspirational lyric well... I'm going to leave that one alone.

What's to 'kapiche'? A shit band is a shit band, no matter how many times they're downloaded off iTunes. And who are you, Tony Soprano?

i'd like to see more footage of cape solander - but only if it is of boogers, kneelos and goat boaters. ah what the hell, stand ups, too. just as long as they're not "locals".

Karlos!? Who untied your hands and pulled that apple out of your mouth? I bet you didn't let them take your monkey away...

none of you have been there or done that (travelled the world as a rock band), let alone for 25 years...and, similarly, can't comment on what i want to choose as a signature or not so you can s**k my balls.

I could write "i ain't gonna work on maggie's farm no more!"

but limited few would even know who wrote it, and if i quote more peppers:

And all the press, you don't amaze me
I'm not your dick so don't appraise me
Never gonna fit your critical shit
You better watch out, you might get hit

Everyone knows the peppers still sell out shows everywhere around the globe and were one of the leading acts for live earth. Actually, three Sydney shows sold out in under ten minutes. Apart from Bob Dylan, Who can compete with that? Michael Jackson? Kylie minogue?

You're all jealous...

As for the surfing vids, Don will film better stand up and lids action at Whaley or Av. The kids surfing Winki are as frustrating as watching all the shoulder hopping stand-up drop ins at the "epic" frustrating close out that's dee why pt....

And in the words of a now sadly deceased British politician, wouldn't THAT be like being savaged by a dead sheep.

Anyway I reckon Don should film where and whenever he gets the time ... but those little roams up or down the coast are good, maybe try that on Thursday when it's 8-10' and bombing straight in and see where people are surfing other than DY or Bower on days like that. And some of the reefs where they're not surfing!

Bubba, I'm happy for you that you get such enjoyment from the Chili Peppers.

IMO, they're quite a good band, but can also be quite samey.

Maybe just lighten up a bit on the RHCP front.

Reminds me of my wayward youth when I would defend Led Zeppelin to the death. It was only later that I realised that they had some of the worst lyrics going around, and were without peer when it came to lame song titles. The Lemon Song anyone?

Well, the real question is, is Bob Dylan's version better than Rage Against the Machine's version,

As for the Chili lyrics, how about this cracker:

"She stuck my butt with her big black stick, I said whassup now suck my D!ck"

LAAAAAMMMMME!!!! Great grooves and music, lyrics to me are like Keidis has nothing to talk about so he says whatever he think fits....
"Stay happy and everything will be perfectly all right"... Jack Norris
