I still don't buy the "official" narrative about 9/11. Oh sure, it happened, fcuk yeah. But who and why and how I'm, not convinced it was what we've been told.

Some little 3ft sliders on The Island, nothing special, but 3 of us out so the sets were shared around.

The winds just swung around to the south.
Now if it'll just hold that overnight. 8)

Was pretty solid here on the late morning, outgoing. Not the biggest, but packed some punch and has some water moving around it.

So the big news of the day is the NSW Police Force hunting Aboriginal fugitives in the Bush. To me all the media hysteria reeks. Any comments?

Fcuck I love autumn...regular swells, still relatively warm water and offshores. Don't love this daylight savings stretching till April. Paddled out in complete darkness this morning and came in when it was barely sunrise!

Looked okay on the net this morning Trev, just in time for the weekend! Got a 9'1 half built at home, just need to put the plugs in, sand the bottom and then put on a gloss coat. Should be ready for a ride by my next break. Haven't ridden a Mal for a LONG (excuse the pun) time!

Don, contracts on its way over, I've been looking for someone to do more of my job so I can spend more time surfing!

Fun this morning before the crowds and high tide hit. Checked it out at about 2.30 and was going to hit it again but the southerly finally hit it sometime between then and 4.00 when I finished visiting the in laws

Check out what's heading to the island on Monday. Think I'm coming down with a 24 hour tropical bug!

Highlight of another very ordinary 1-2ft day here in paradise: picking up a copy of Murakami's - Wind up Bird Chronicle off a throw out pile on the way back. 8)

You 've sort of heard right. They're not called hipsters for nothing. I don't find him ponderous.
Whether you'd dig him or not probably depends on where the 'etc' after your list of - granted, quality - writers leads.
I bought, read , and dug After Dark and Kafka on the Shore a few years ago in Bali, after my wife had read and raved about Wind up...in her book club a few years earlier. She'd lent it and was never returned. Hence my delight at saving it from the garbos today.
D'you surf today?
