Five days of waves. Totally stuffed. Spagetti arms, bruises, bung toe, sunburn, rashed. The swell picked up again yesterday afternoon. No shortage of waves on the mid north coast this week.

had a bowley Newcastle reef break all to myself this morning.
was awesome.
got some good data for the wave measuring thing on two different boards.
got lots of small tubes.
got out just as it was being invaded by friendly boogiemen and a guy on a lilo that got into a bit of strife in a rip and left his lilo to float out to sea.

Setting the tone for 2012 already.

Waits was fun yesterday for about 40 minutes, then the ESE wind came in and turned it to a rippy, sh1tty mess in about 10 minutes.

Help!

Anyone got about 50mm of hardener I can borrow? Can't get any until Tuesday and I need to go back to work Wednesday.

I live on the sunny coast.

Bunnings has it in the paint section. Or do you need some special type?
I've got about 5mm left.

I still don't buy the "official" narrative about 9/11. Oh sure, it happened, fcuk yeah. But who and why and how I'm, not convinced it was what we've been told.

Thanks Trev,
Got the last one. Should just have enough. 15mm should just get me by for the hot coat and the 2mm I have left will get the fin and deck plugs in.
Going down for an early, see you there.

Went other day to north x,
usually a soft wave because had houseguest wannting a go.
Ended up letting him stay paddling against the whitewash, and l went out back.

The small crowd were all give and take considerate, impressive.

Crowded as. Even thought about giving it a miss ... Glad I didn't. So many people out there on their learners permit, they were giving me waves.

Sweet.

Getting smaller each day but day 7 straight this morning. Ledge and I checked out some beachies but ended up back at the point.
Can't complain as I've got the next two weeks working.

Nice morning surf at 13th beach the extra size kept the blow ins away i think. Far king people everywhere on the surf coast today, with a 40 degree day you expect no less. Thought i would have a squiz at Point Impossible on the low tide and to my astonishment scored some ripping 3-4 footers with only 5 or so out. Made my day.

well fuck me if it wasn't cranking at the lake mouth for a change over the last few days.
Gets banks about once every 2 years or so. When they finally form they are mighty.
This particular bank is a product of recent dredging to open the lake mouth - and it has been good.
Early morning and late afternoon. About 5.00 pm the wind would die, tide was good and the rights would peel for 100 metres or more. Generally only 3 of us out there (everyone else surfing fat burgers at the island not 300 metres away) while we frolicked on the unmolested rights. Some long fast rights. Long and fast.
Nothing our northern point break cousins wouldn't be used to, but something special in the neck of the woods where i usually whet my whistle.

All gone now the swells have ended. Hope the bank hangs around for the next swell.

Is there anything worse than trying to surf junk after scoring good waves for a week?
Not scoring the good waves I guess. Sure has been woeful lately.
