Narra, I heard on a pre-heat interview that he wanted to test both boards, the other was a 7'2 I think, nothing happened to the 7'6 he was just testing equipment, and BTW what a display of surf, he schooled his competitors with a steep drop into a nice bottom/set up and then an amazing barrel, what a legend, fukc I am still stoked for him.

Was a bit surprised when Ross Williams said, in the lead up to the event, how TC is such a great model for young kids. I mean, he said a lot of very positive things - which were probably true - but I know there's other aspects of TC's life that probably shouldn't be emulated...

People who fuck up, own up to it and accept their mistakes then strive to sort themselves out are much better role models than someone who seemingly makes all the right decisions and never goes off the rails. No one gets it al right. And no one learns from always doing the right thing

Yeh, for sure. I guess I was just a little puzzled by the absolute silence on his drug problems. Just seems like the whole topic is taboo from their perspective.

I reacon they had no choice but to cancel cloud break that day. The surfers literally weren't equipped to surf that size. (And it was a much better spectacle) But pipe on Sunday arvo? Terrible call. They'll be deciding the comp at 3ft pipe looking at the forecast.
