But, Hatchy, you've deliberately neglected to quote this bit, haven't you???????

Nothing wrong with a bit of natural insulation champ - that and my Rip Curl hotskin vest too of course
Think I'll be wearing a hood though by the end of next week, went out on Tuesday and it was pretty cold for those first few duck dives.

I have had all the best wetties...and for my money i would recommend ONeill every time.
However you need to treat with care.
Wash in cold water
Take heaps of care taking on and off (this is when most of the damage is done...stretching
Hang through the waist
Keep out of direct sunlight for long periods
Try to avoid pissing in it.
I presently own a Patagonia...the stitching/construction is amazing, it will probably last ten years...its great to put on when it is wet...but is it as warm as a Psycho? No...not for me.

I agree with Spotty, my current patagonia is a solid suit, but there's no way it will cope in 12 deg water. I've lost a few kgs and have been noticing a flush in in the lower back and the water ain't that icy yet. The fit is key.
As for the c-skins, is surfm8 still sponsoring here? if so contact him - he might be able to sort you out.

Hi Guys
Has anyone here tried either the Quiksilver Cypher heated vest or the Rip Curl H-Bomb heated vest?
How do they go and do they last?

Just managed to pick up a brand new, old stock West Nitro plus 3/2.
Faark, they are good suits... Such shame they are no longer.

My cskins is hopefully arriving late this week. 5mm of rubbery warmth and goodness.

I got the react 5/4/3 ... From westuiks.co.uk Cost $190 delivered door-to-door in 5-8 days. I opted for the sealed seams. Would be just weird not to have them.
Crew here have the cskins model under the react, no sealed seams, just stitched. And they stay toasty warm and surf for 2+ hours in the guts of winter in 'em ... That is $119 delivered in 5-8 days.
Guys here are in their 2nd and 3rd seasons in the cskins and haven't had any major problems. That was good enough for me.

Yep once we get into July down here the fun really starts. Tassie on the other hand would be worse I'm betting!
