Re: position on board when paddling for a wave
I have no problem with you at all mate.
As long as you turn right at the Torquay golf club and stay the fcuk away from 13th we will be friends forever!
I got no advice on board position other than this:
An old bloke once told me that when lying on your board (assuming its a short board) the entire board should be underwater. The nose should only poke up out of the water as you paddle and get forward movement.
Works for me I guess....

Hatchy, sometimes when I see Iggs post stuff like this and some of the bits he's dredged up about me and others, I seriously suspect he's a cyber stalker of the highest order.
We should be afraid, VERY afraid.

You aren’t the room Yuke You are just a wonky cafe table with a missing rubber pad on the end of one leg.

I still don't buy the "official" narrative about 9/11. Oh sure, it happened, fcuk yeah. But who and why and how I'm, not convinced it was what we've been told.

Further to Iggy's post Breamfisherman, you might have to talk loudly when you approach the Hatch.
He'll probably be listening to Powderfinger on his iPod at max volume while he sips his cafe' grande' frappuccino from this little Barista he knows down the road who makes better coffee than anyone in Sydney.
Great idea Iggs, Hatchy's definitely the man for the job . . right on
When are we catching up for that surf Hatchy

Re: position on board when paddling for a wave
So hang on let me get this straight : we have a part-time lake bream fisho from Vicco.
Mate paddling's the least of your problems.

I want Nightclub Dwight dead in his grave I want the nice-nice up in blazes
Re: position on board when paddling for a wave
Actually SS a big ol' Vicco lake-dwelling black bream is likely to crap over a yellowfin bream in the wash up northern NSW way _ unless the autumn north coast run has started early.
PS try a Gulp Alive three inch minnow or a four inch Squidgy Flickbait in one of the natural colours like pearl green, on a 3/8 once jighead (with a decent hook, other chunkier critters most likely to hammer them too) or lighter quarter once head if the wash ain't too strong.

Re: position on board when paddling for a wave
thanks Bombora......I've seen piccies of those big gippsland black bream.
Chased 'em in the Sou-west rivers round Denmark and Walpole.
I'm using bigger shad-style squidgies with strong swimming action.....rather a chance of a schoolie or GT.....tailor tend to chew 'em to bits pretty quick though.

Re: position on board when paddling for a wave
Breammaster, get a thicker longer board and dont paddle like an egg beater hooked up to a nuclear reactor for power.
Re: position on board when paddling for a wave
Personally I'd say focus more on volume and width rather than length, but that's just me.Davros wrote:Breammaster, get a thicker longer board and dont paddle like an egg beater hooked up to a nuclear reactor for power.

So would I but paddling ability has got to come into it as well because if it was as easy to paddle a shortie as it is a longboard boards over 8' would be as rare as hens teeth.
Maybe he needs a 7S Superfish, I hear they paddle like a longboard.

I made the problem worse to the point where I could barely stand up straight to walk after getting out of the water let alone do anything else like being able to drive or ride a train to work.
