a contest-free sydney beach on weekends ?

Post by aaronn » Sun Aug 09, 2009 2:33 pm

does one exist? surely a backlash or concerted protest from free surfers is overdue . it is becoming WAY too much. WAY too often.i pity the average weekend warrior. soon the paddle board contests will begin. add them to the longboard, shortboard, mens, boys, girls, masters, lifesavers, ironmen and women, nippers'...contests...ad infinitum

actually ... at 7am yesterday I was at Longy looking at the dribble, and I noticed at the low end of the carpark a crowd of dopey looking fat uselss b@stards standing around ... then a guy towing a big trailer sign written with "Learn to SUP surf" pulls into the car park , paused and looked around then obviously noticed the crowd of dopey looking fat uselss b@stards standing around and figured they were his guys and drove over to them ...

I then slammed the car door on my head to relieve the pain of wittnessing what happened next ... then left wondering why I ever go near Longy on a weekend ... :|

It was at its current state yesterday________________________ banks are good to go but zilch swell.
The southern right whale 50 yards offshore was the most exciting thing for weeks.

I believe Coogee is available.
Personally I reckon your average mal contest is the perfect spot for a few uncontested waves. Particularly if its a bit larger. :D :D :D

Only when she works and she's fickle, there are others more regular/ tight knowing crews and others boat ride away.
I grew up at Dee Why, a crowded bar is still less crowded than Dee Why.

I sick of the Fat old useless bastards who set up longboard comps at bondi every second sunday.
Bondi is bad enough without the oversized boards and beer guts to match.
Take your surf dive n ski tent,vw transporters and fuck off somewhere else.
What is sds doing sponsoring old men anyway,I thought they were cutting edge young peoples shop.
yada yada something something bondi what do you expect!

  Is today the second Sunday Dubbwah?
You're missing the point. All those fat old bastards have got money to spend - on themselves and on their kids. Why wouldn't SDS want to put their name out in front of them.
Besides, it's only Bondi. 8)

I still don't buy the "official" narrative about 9/11. Oh sure, it happened, fcuk yeah. But who and why and how I'm, not convinced it was what we've been told.
