Not quite your local area (just south-east of South Head is the proposed Sydney site), but close enough for you to be interested I would imagine. Although these reefs are designed for fishing, not surfing, many of the social/practical/ecological issues faced in planning for these reefs are the same ones that will surface should surfing designed AR's be proposed for the NSW coast.

Looks good Steve. Putting the brakes on a rolling stone then pushing it back up the hill - high energy input required. Looks like there is some serious focus on resolving the problem.
