I bit off more than i could chew this morning. Got out, got hammered by a clean up set, all three of them, then went in. Turned around to see my mates tuflite LB in two pieces. Was much bigger than it looked. Bit messy too.

1:30pm and Don isn't back from the beach yet. It must have been a good morning.

Got a couple of good ones at a wedging break in Newcastle this morning. Copped more on the head than I made (which is half the fun).

Tomorrow has already got a disappointing feeling about it. Watch the size drop overnight and the wind pick up... I reckon everyone should sleep in and not worry about waves tomorrow

Had a good morning surf with only 3 out, but i forgot where.

Went down for a quick arvo before going to the orthodontists at DY point, was only about 5 or so out for about 30 mins then the rent-a-crowd came, 2 more paddled out, a few more, next thing you know youve got a pack scrambling for waves

Also within the scramble for waves ... nothing beats a heavy wipe out due to a drop in and some argie bargie

p.s. also got driven head first into some rocks after pulling into a biggish one, was closing out and i didnt scoop enough to be able to pull through the back wall (even though i probably wouldve ended up over the falls anyways) so i made the number 1 mistake, instead of pulling into the close out, i tried to outrun it  lip landed on my back/head and drove me into the rocks :(

Nothing like a lil concussion and an egg on the forehead  If i was short and had sausage fingers id look like a drawf :D

I surfed at a place this morning and although it was very bumpy and rippy it was quite good because it was large, and it cleaned up as the tide came in.... I surfed with my brother and his mate ... there were also a few other guys but they kept disappearing in the rip or got washed in by the clean up's ..... thankgod I didn't have any experience like grazza did but it's got me thinkin' 'cause it was similar conditions....

tomorrow I'm going to a different place because it should be holding nicely with the swell being a bit smaller ....

I also recomend that no one goes surfing late this afternoon or early tomorrow morning because you shouldn't, and it is not advisable ....

phew... :!: thanks RR .... I was a bit worried that people might "read between the lines" and work it out and that place would be packed out ...
