Simon is one of sports greatest ambassadors and general all round wave master to boot. Anyone can stand up but this kneeling thing is something different altogether.

Nice wave to boot.

Simon's an extraodinary surfer. One of a couple of people who pioneered Deadmans as viable surfspot when all us old time winki surfers thought it was unsurfable. Brave, talented and innovative. If he had been a stand up, he would have been a real force.

Simon as a stand up surfer...probably surfs better than anyone on here.

spot on, one of the best, regardless of whether he's kneeling or standing.

two of the best surfers I ever saw at narrabeen: farrer and novakov. I remember as a grom seeing Nov doing barrel rolls, straight off the bottom, vertical, barrell roll, then kept on surfing down the line.
