My Xcel boots arrived yesterday for my spring surfing adventure about which I am unnaturally excited.
It's a fcuking business getting them on but they certainly won't let in much water.

Bit late, but once again I'll spruik the French ones. They wouldn't have been warm enough anyway by the sounds of it.

Should get my new thermal Rashie today. My old one would be one of the best purchases ever. Total flexibility and just takes the edge off the wind. Perfect for this time of year. Old one is just about cactus.

Predictive text made rashie Rushdie.

Rip curl Dawn Patrol vs Rip curl Ebomb -obivously the ebomb is more expensive and supposedly more flexible/warmer but has anyone had both, can compare?

This doesn't help but I had a couple of ebombs years ago and then moved to flash bombs (or maybe they were called fbombs then). For how I surf the flash bombs were significantly warmer. If I was a comp surfer the e would be fine (shorter more active sessions scrapping the whole time).

If shearer were here he'd advocate the dawn patrol, but he drives a 1994 Camry.

O’Neill Psycho 1 back zip (Zen zip) as recommended by Nick and me.

I find them pretty average to be honest, decent at first but not great memory in the neoprene and not that warm. The rubber on the neck also deteriorating pretty badly.

I had an early iteration which was as Loof describes. They are apparently now better by a few accounts

Been giving my new excell springy a thorough workout lately. Could have worn my steamer yesterday though. I find the brand nice and stretchy. Good price and quality.

Mine was until the chest zip came away at the stitching and then happened again after getting repaired. The material just keeps on ripping.
