Re: Where did you surf today ?
got a few 10-12'ers out the German, like one set every half an hour. It was weird, there was a big groundswell out there somewhere but almost none of it was making it in. Maybe too SSW and super long interval, going north to Fiji.
Feels like it might get bigger here this arvo and tomorrow when the interval shortens down and the angle goes a bit more SE

Perfect 10' faces? Way out of my league, I get very shaky at 4000 kJs, and I probably wouldn't go out as the 1 hour sets of a 4000kJ 5 star 20s period swell may be 10 plus waves at 15'
I've noticed 5 stars is perfect conditions on a 6-8' swell and for quite a while I thought that 5 stars was their top category, but I realised it actually goes up to 10, so it must be something like perfect and 15' is 7 stars, 20' 8 stars, etc. Too rare to really know though. IIRC the big Bali swell was 9 stars. Maybe a logarithmic scale?
All feet not Hawaiian.

Re: Where did you surf today ?
that look like 7000Kj 6 star surf?
where did the error occur?
btw, this was 3 or 400kj
their algorithm makes zero sense to me, I cannot map it against any reality that I see here.

Surprise, surprise their wind/wave models were not accurate.

Re: Where did you surf today ?
Went for a swim about 3:00 pm. Pretty fcuking average at Bondi and Tama/Bronte. Maybe a few head high sets but usually about shoulder high, fat and crumbly close outs. There was quite a bit of force to the swells though and quite a bit of push and draw on the Shorebreak.

I actually just got my longest Lennox wave ever just before dark.
Top pine to just before dress circle drive.
Couldn’t believe it, today of all days.
Started well, then had a dead section for 30-40m then just kept going and going. As big at the end as it was at the top.

That sounds pretty great.
Surf was a bit straight today. Still got out and starting to feel surf fit (kind of). Seven in a row tomorrow, cannot remember the last time.
