Ok settle down folks, its getting blown out of proportion now. JD has had his day and hes going to get in the sh#t for what he has done, but Narrabeen will always be a localised break no matter how much bs is posted on real surf or any other site.
You can put up signs but it wont do any good because there will always be people who will do what they want, regardless.

Hey Nick why dont you suggest Newport + put up a sign at the peak, god knows that place is as bad as Narrabeen.

dissipate anger by writing Gratitude
dissipate anger by "righting" Gratitude

challenge : write Gratitude 100 times
hint : draw symbol of gratitude 100 times

"Righting" Gratitude is as complex as a symbol
or as simple as seeing it's enigmatic existance

Try it with a pen
lift it only once off the page
when c-O-mplete

pretty c-OO-L !? , huh

GO GRATITUDE !!

Well I don't know if it is or not, haven't seen anyone punched out the Peak in many years, but I'll bring up the idea at the agm and see what the response is. I know we thought about it back when Nat was running around promoting his signs-for-beaches trust or program or whatever it was, but without a groundswell of opinion for or against, thought it better not to deface the beach with more signage than was needed.

And saus I gotta say, I disagree with you re a sign, I think it does make a difference if it's done right as it was at Margaret River, most surfers there agree it works to form a kind of contract between people in the lineup. What was unwritten is then unavoidably written. Might help a lot of beginner surfers who seem to cause more experienced surfers to break out in such a sweat.

What ya can't do is use legalese to override a local surfing community. That's why these signs need to be initiated through the local boardriders' clubs.

Nick I do agree the sign would help inexperienced surfers but its not going to help people who just surf to make trouble, which seems to be the case in hand.
Nat Young is a perfect example of someone who has been converted, god knows a punch in the scone from someone like Hutcho would change your perspective about rules in the surf. The only thing Nat missed one rule, "I will not punch 15 year old kids, especially if their Dads a local".

merkin , take note

Circular thinking creates structures more readily available
to receive abundance of unconscious wishes .

b-E A-w-A-r-E of Intentional Karma !

Luckily for you , the "old school Karma" got it a bit twisted .
and luckily "knew " "know-ledge " of symbolic G is "G"-rowing

N-O-W with G-force , symbolically turning
Grr- attitude
into
GRATITUDE !

Remember , there are but nine letters in Gratitude .
Nine is a complete number , and try this ,
Twist "9" around ....
twisting , twist-in G
n-O-w
do you see it ..?
***G****
It's SIGNING ....
sign-in-G

challenge : write Gratitude 100 times
hint : use symbol as above

Now thats what I call WOW !

Go Gratitude !!
