Part of the plan, Olds, if the board and I get on.
Seems some more interest bubbling away but non committal.

No tricks MF, next time it comes out of hiding I'll see if I can measure it.

That's fantastic, p_a, very reminiscent of the Tak scorpion. Should go a treat.
How big is that puppy?

that one is 6'0 x 21 x 2 5/8 - very full rails, but foiled out a little to the nose and tail.
very flat rocker in the front, and a bit of kick in the tail, almost like the rocker is back to front, and a quite deep single concave running the full length. Guy that bought it has been riding it as a quad so far and his comments have been that it catches waves super easy and nose rides really well, and drives through turns.
tossing up between one of these or a new twin keel mini simmonsesque board for myself.

saltman - they way i was thinking is that its kind of like a mini simmons with 8-12 inches of pin tail on the end, so i'd compromise between a mini simmons and mid length shape. The guy i made this for was originally going to be on a 5'2 mini simmons, but had a change of heart. I wouldn't go too short without beefing up the tail width quite a bit, or chopping it off!
PS the tint job above was to match the guys vintage style motorcycle.

p_a, if it goes anything like a Scorpion I can tell you they are very versatile, mine is large at 7' but take it out in pretty much anything. I would go one of these over a Simmon's type board any day.

Still think the short version of these, say like pirate's, would be a very different kettle o' fish compared to a mid-length.

This is my little one, not quite so teardrop shaped but a great small wave board none the less. 5'9"x20.5"x2.5"
When it gets to this level of self important stupidity I lose interest.

Dims only really changed in length. Now 5'11", ride is fast, feels like the fastest I've ridden. Slices through cutbacks with the really fine rails that I thought may be a problem.
