Taken as a totality this first week of Spring has exceeded anything that happened in Autumn.

Hottest day in 25 years or something yesterday. Spring has sprung again.

The annual Realsurf Spring Post….a hot Winter ends with hail storms after a 27 degree day. Low rainfall and offshore winds for months. Looks like things will get messy leading into Summer. Flowers have been blooming for weeks.

Good drinking weather.
Although it’s been fun, it’d be nice to get some waves where I’m not reaching for the small wave board again.

I’ve had about the longest run of surfing 5-6 days a week ever I think. Given my standards have been pretty low for most of it that’s still about a year straight. Got back from the States about this time last year.

The 2/2 steamer got an unnecessary run this morn for the early.
It has now had a long soak in fresh water and will be dried inside and out for next year or if I go to Victoria.

If I had a good quality spring suit I could have quite easily got through this whole winter including dawnies without donning a steamer.

Super mild.

Shit down here. South swells are marching away up the coast. Or, wind is in. Or, I keep missing the sessions. Anyway, nice weather

I remember some wheelchair xylophonist getting all macho about how he liked to smash absolutely heaps of Weetbix before a hard day's roofing

Hello,

The idea of drying it inside and out for next year is certainly a wise one, especially if you're planning a trip to Victoria. Speaking of boats, investing in a quality spring suit could have made this winter much more comfortable, without having to worry about splashing. Milder days on the horizon can also herald good times to sail yachts and make the most of the season.

Thanks Terrence.
I have arrived in Victoria with some fresh Yammie from Steve’s mate to try out while I’m here.

Just in time for some swell and decent winds. Good timing.
