Re: Rate your summer
Spent more time watching, fishing, swimming and matting than surfing, but slowly getting back into it after a shoulder reconstruction.
This autumn will deliver, 'tho.
EDIT. The kids (6 and started surfing this summer. Both can now go right and left on little peelers. YEEWWWW!

So far so good. Took the plunge.
Work from home, go to Sydney approx. five days per month, no mortgage, stress levels down 80%.
Heaps of time with the kids, fishing, surfing, bike riding, etc, when the shoulder op. (and associated fitness decline) gets a bit better, I'll be surfing gentlemens hours with zero crowds.
It could be worse.

You aren’t the room Yuke You are just a wonky cafe table with a missing rubber pad on the end of one leg.

I still don't buy the "official" narrative about 9/11. Oh sure, it happened, fcuk yeah. But who and why and how I'm, not convinced it was what we've been told.

Re: Rate your summer
I think that concludes the best summer I can remember down here since 2003. Most consistent and varied mix of swells and conditions. Only knee high for about 1 day. It was mostly at least head high and bigger the entire season with some pretty sizeable and solid days. Surfed a mix of reefs I'd normally only get to surf in winter, with stack of good beachie banks holding shape and size. Only got wasted by blue bottles once.

Re: Rate your summer
Last year was one to remember for me. Great trip up the coast after Boxing Day as well. Rest of summer was generally okay in the water. Not focusing primarily on surfing so not having that in synch feel....but I'm really feeling in tune physically so Ive been having fun with my surfing when I'm out there.

Best summer I've ever had. Had a few really memorable sessions.
Live in the sunshine, swim the sea, drink the wild air.
Re: Rate your summer
lucky buggers. I've had an average summer, hampered by injury and job and kids and never quite getting the swell or wind right...hopefully i'll get a few more waves in during the autumn and the winter.
