Forecast Data in Poster Format
Not so much a discussion about surf forecasting, but more a different medium for presenting the data.
1 year of swell data in poster format. So far available for Sydney and Margs. Check 'em out and see what you think. Maybe a late Christmas present for someone?
Available to order here: http://swellcast.com.au/notes/2013-poster-series
Cheers!

mate, no offence but I'm a weather junkie and that looks about as enticing as prison rape.

It's contemporary. People would buy it and put it in a rustic wooden frame and hang it in their office.
Obviously shearer wouldn't be one of those people.

It might cheer him up.

Oh a frame would be essential.

Are you by chance insinuating that he has anything but a sunny disposition ... I'm flabbergasted.Nick Carroll wrote:Maybe we could chip in and buy one for shearer as a surprise.

The frame would most certainly have to be made from recycled fence palings.Nick Carroll wrote:Oh a frame would be essential.
Nick ... maybe you could organise the purchase and framing down your way ... Natho could collect it from you and deliver it when he comes up for his chicken dicking.

Agreed. Without it, it just wouldn't capture the essence of what it is we're doing.
Re: Forecast Data in Poster Format
I'll happily donate one to the cause
Re: Forecast Data in Poster Format
Thanks for the offer ... but I think you will find that Steve already has enough chickens to do the job.swellcast wrote:I'll happily donate one to the cause

Re: Forecast Data in Poster Format
'thing is, it stands as a fcuken reminder of all the lost opportunities and swell events he's missed out on. Hence the fishing intensity.
And it just looks like a drumken view of the manhattan skyrline.
Steve hates newyork.

Which is a hell of a lot more than he deserves after the careless way he treated you.
Unless of course prison rape really is appealing to Steve. Which knowing Steve, I cannot for sure subtract from the equation here.
Either way swellcast, you're a good man. I'm glad you're on our team. Because when the asians invade us, we'll need men like you.
Re: Forecast Data in Poster Format
OK, so can we get some donations for the frame?
Think a frame made from his favourite fishing lures will do the trick?
Constant reminder of both missed waves, and endless torture of the lures stuck there, never to be used.

It's a good idea Swellcast, just a very poor execution. And believe me, I should know.
you need to think bigger. Coffee table book. Photos, words, fold out spreads, etc etc.//....maybe a sealed section in the middle.
