To answer your question, with the Pacific moving now into a weak Nina, best guess would be a slow start to summer with a strong ending as the west pacific warm pool starts churning out tropical depressions.
Keep an eye on the long range for the first tropical depression (in the Coral Sea) of the season.
But you like SE swells and slabs don't you?

I prefer NE or ENE but a long period SE is pretty good. Its just that from memory, the same direction wind also chases SE swells. At least initially and usually has a few days of junk around a small period of SW wind.
