Re: Autumn
When we got that week earlier (maybe just before Easter?), or almost a week of offshore mornings, cool nights, small but fun swellls and relatively dry weather I thought the summer from hell was a thing of the past.
Then it turned into the autumn from hell.
Then it turned into the autumn from hell.

Re: Autumn
I'd go back to that Summer in a heartbeat.
Fishing was insane, water was warm and blue.
Insane snorkelling in the bream hole.
Waves were fun everyday.
Only bummer was it was it was hard to sleep at night with the insane humidity.

Re: Autumn
With a baby it was farked in summer.
If you went out early there were mozzies and midges everywhere. After 8? Too hot and humid.
Took the bins out in the dark last night and all the stars were out.
Beautiful cool night.
Woke up to a beautiful morning with a cloudless sky, dew on the grass and a gentle offshore. As it should be in May.

You aren’t the room Yuke You are just a wonky cafe table with a missing rubber pad on the end of one leg.

I still don't buy the "official" narrative about 9/11. Oh sure, it happened, fcuk yeah. But who and why and how I'm, not convinced it was what we've been told.

Re: Autumn
I went outside last night and the southern cross was so bright, scorpio was high in the sky and the Milky Way was beautiful.
I saw three shooting stars in less than 3 minutes.
Forgot about those mozzies over summer- Fcuk that was hectic.

Beautifully clear up here this morning too.
5 satellites in about 15 minutes.
There are nearly 10,000 satellites in orbit at the moment.
More importantly, space junk.
"More than 25,000 objects larger than 10 cm are known to exist. The estimated population of particles between 1 and 10 cm in diameter is approximately 500,000. The number of particles larger than 1 mm exceeds 100 million. As of January 2022, the amount of material orbiting the Earth exceeded 9,000 metric tons"

Anyone seen Starlink? Looks pretty cool.
Re: Autumn
Yep. Spectacular.
But really just more space junk.
6,000 of them so far.

So wet around here. At least there’s no sinkholes like Dover Heights. I guess building a multi-storey luxury house with double garages for your luxury cars right on a cliff has its pitfalls.

Re: Autumn
Howling south winds and rain. Noticed some polycarbonate lying on the street about two up from our place. After looking at it in passing and wondering where it might have come from we realised it was a piece of skylight and if so it had probably come from our next door neighbours on the other side from where it landed. Further scrutiny established that it had come from the place next door that had just been vacated by long term tenants and that the rest was stuck in a tree in their front yard. This is at the front and the skylight is on the back. After a convoluted interaction with the past tenants we contacted the real estate agents. Major Fcuk up with very bad timing. Pissing down rain most of the afternoon.

The agent will be straight on it. We have a water leak reported 3 weeks ago that has now taken out two ceilings and one room’s carpet and still not fixedBeanpole wrote: ↑Sat May 18, 2024 7:35 pmHowling south winds and rain. Re: Autumn
Jeez the point looked nice this morning on my morning walk with the boy.
Perfect fun sized, groomed walls with barrels down the line. Fresh wind that the locals were whinging how cold it was.
Beautiful May.
Water a little bit off colour still the only thing to deduct points.

Re: Autumn
11 degrees this morning. You were right Slobbo. No sign of any maintenance next door. It is Sunday I guess and it’s an odd time since no one is living there and the owners intentions are unknown. At least it’s not raining. Possums might have a new room to piss in.
