Yeah I like Swellnet, I usually average out the reports on there with Coastal Watch before I start thinking of good excuses to tell The Financial Controller as to why I will be absent between the hours of 7 and 10 on Saturday and Sunday mornings :) However the Trigger Brothers site is the one I chec...

Hearing you guys complain about all this makes me glad I'm a Vic surfer! The lure of Bells, Torquay ("The Surf Coast") keeps most of the glory seekers attracted whereas as the massive East Coast side of the bay stretching right into Westernport and Phillip Island is far enough away from the big metr...

Get yourself a tin box, make or go to a metal fab place and get them to make you one. Buy a decent padlock, put the key in the box and padlock it to your suspension springs or some other metal component. Then you only need to keep the padlock key with you in the surf. Failing that keep an old crap m...

Thanks guys, I have more of a back foot style. Which is why the NSP starts to bug me nowadays because I find to get the most out of it I have to shift forwards a lot to get momentum going. I might pop into the Pt Leo store and see if I can borrow one of the stubbys in the next couple of weeks to try...

This may be a little of track but seeing as we're quoting bands here is one used in a song from 70s punk band UK Subs if I remember correctly, "its either sink or swim-why bother jumping in" Kinda decribes the ethos of when I went to shool.Times have changed I think where an education is your main ...

NSP Boardom
As you may or may not know I have been a fan of my NSP 7ft6 egg for quite some time. After surfing on and off (mostly only seasonal in the summer) for 10 or so years during the last couple I have been going right through the whole year. I've had the NSP for 3 years and it has been a great board for ...

Ah man Nick that is a great story. Makes me wish that I can do a decent surf trip to Indo like that before I kick the bucket, I've only ever known East Coast Vic and a day spent at Bondi on a holiday about 15 years ago. Wish I hadn't read it sitting at my desk in an office tower in Melbourne though,...

Had a surf on Sunday morning in Westernport Bay. Swell was consistent 2-4footers with the occasional 6ft bomb. Bit choppy and windy though as we've a lot of wind on the coast in Vic lately. Plenty of decent rides, nailed a couple of good ones and there some nice drops when the waves hit the reefs to...

I hate flag burning, it does hurt me cause I am proud to live in this country. But as much as someone burning a flag annoys and upsets me, seeing the growing trend of people who are rascist and treat others differently cause of their darker skin pisses me off even more! Grow up and **** think a lit...

I've had a Rip Curl Ocean Tech watch now for a couple of years. Got it as a present, steel band has needed some new pins at times and when I got the battery replaced it now sometimes gets condensation under the glass. I took it to a surf store as well and they sent it away to do the work, obviously ...

Fast. I, like many others I'm sure, missed out on the mad rush to get tickets for TOOL. I'll be sure that doesn't happen again. I've never missed them since they first came to Australia (1994 I think) and I don't plan on it happening now. Add to that The Violent Femmes, and a decent rumour that Guns...
