I was on the piss last night (I've got 2 weeks off so it's ok - sort of) and subsequently slept in. Turned onshore 15 minutes after paddling out. Pissed off as have had a pretty shitful summer of waves. Demon Drink

That size Bells is pretty powerful but it's powder puff stuff compared to similar sized Sunset Beach etc. Super exciting though! Haven't surfed Bells that big, but can say when it gets some size about it, it does have some push. No heavy smack-down, but long hold-downs. Suprising how far you've bee...

Nah, mate. Not sure if I wish I was or not either. Not expecting a quality wave down here 'til Mon morn. Seems to be a few waves around up there if you can dodge the pack. Sure it would be an interesting time traveling with daryl, though I was just being a smartarse, because you hadn't responded to ...

Seems, if you put in a bit of effort, you can avoid the crowds. Agree with Hatchy about the Morn Pen, but since coming here, I can usually surf anywhere without real crowds. Stay away, the lot of you

For Grooter George Lucas. The Point. 1996 For pinhead Johno Benson. Surfies Point. 1989 Also have vague memories of a swimmer getting attacked at the back of 1st Reef. Late 80s maybe? When about 14, I was with the family holidaying in Tas. Fortesque Bay there was a dead whale on the beach. 1 big chu...

I think sooner or later someone is going to get chomped at Phillip island. Probably at Surfies Point. A couple of people have been bumped there by big whites. Was always a bit spooked surfing Right Point or Summerlands (been a long time) on dusk as the penguins are heading in. You know they're abou...

Male and Central Atolls. Keen as for it now. I'll be very keen to hear how the crowds were in the Central Atolls. It's marketed as the quiet atolls, but one just has to google it now to see that there's a significant number of boats and resorts there now. Although pick the good operators with the e...

Yeah, it's changed a bit. Drove UNDER the marina entrance a couple of years back.
When I was there it was a swamp in winter and almost lifeless wasteland in summer. Massive cracks in the ground. Tried to dig a vege patch one day. 3 of us with mattocks. Gave up after 15 minutes
