Probably going with one of these BlackWolf tents Crustt. Gets good reviews.
Space left in the car is now at critical levels/non existent, and this tent folds up to a very small package.

Re: Camper Trailers
Don't have time to research the camper trailer idea properly and then potentially have to get extra wiring, anderson plug, electric brake controller etc. installed in the car. I hate rushing into decisions involving lots of bugs bunny. I'm just going to buy a cheap tent so we (and the muts) have som...

[ Yes ... I know I know far too much about this ... its taken me many many years to fill my head with all this useless shit. No no that's awesome Womble, can't have too much info. Thanks to the other replies as well. First up this idea was just to get me across to Perth, as we're taking our time an...

Re: Sense of place
Good pics Cranked. That one of the guesthouse at Impossibles, with the guy wading in the water out front just reminded me of my last visit back in August. My wife and I blundered into that guesthouse on the far left, just before the owner asked us to leave we were rubbernecking and found out that th...

Camper Trailers
Camper trailers. You know, those things that look basically like a normal 6 x 4 trailer and someone has folded a tent flat on top of it and welded a few jerry can brackets around it. Anyone had any experience owning / using one of these? From what I can tell they range from the Rolls Royce $20k jobs...

Stockton Beach yesterday morning, very solid size to it and peeling off nicely.
Only downer was the silty water caused by the dredge ship from Newcastle harbour dumping it's muck out near the entrance.

Jetstar. I'm yet to work out how they get away with charging extra for a seat during the online booking process. Seriously, that's without even choosing your own seat. Tiger are off my list after they cancelled a flight from Adelaide to Newcastle after I had checked my luggage through, due t...

Scratched.
House just sold, with 28 day settlement. In 4 weeks there will be 2 cars, 2 people, 3 dogs and 2 surfboards westward bound on an epic drive, stopping at all points between.
Would have liked to meet a few from here, have fun.

Re: post your modern day sickness
Hand shaped or machine, doesn't matter to me in a custom, as long as the dude takes some pride in his creations and finishes them properly. Unless there's some structural advantage to leaving the lines there, a few minutes to remove them would at least differentiate the board from an Asian cheapy at...

Beery have you tried a dry run at home, popping up to your feet?
That would be the make-or-break part of your first surf I would have thought?
