Re: Where did you surf today ?
People can survive drownings where they aspirate water.
Myself and and any other people involved in rescues always followed up on the outcome wherever we could, you feel very connected and want to find out. It’s a big deal.

Re: Where did you surf today ?
Once the lungs fill with water, or any other fluid, bile, vomit, even fresh water, it’s going to set up aspirational pneumonia. Even if their pulse comes back, and the person is still alive in hospital, there will be a cascade of system failures resulting from the pneumonia. I was involved in a few ...

Re: Just general surfing stuff
I hang out with a longboard influencer who never won a title and has a much bigger name. I'd never heard of Kelia. Apparently she has won 2 world championships but my first thought was 'wonder if she's related to the guy who broke his neck in Portugal?' So if someone who hasn't even made the top co...

Re: Where did you surf today ?
Thought I’d try to go for a dip about 12:30. This is an ambitious decision around here on a hot Summers Day. Decided to be even more ambitious and packed the foamy theorising that I may as well and can just go for a swim if it’s shite. Traffic banked up from Francis St to the roundabout. Thought wh...

Re: Just general surfing stuff
For decades it seems Australian politics, especially in NSW, has been dominated by three major entities – the two major political parties and the gambling industry.

Oh yeah for sure, so good luck to the boys for milking them, it isn’t our money. That’s my take anyway, I’ll shut up now.

Re: Where did you surf today ?
It’s pretty flat. Would be fun in say bells at head high plus I bought an old Warren Cornish board exactly like that, same era, when I was living in Newy. Had intentions of giving it a go just for fun, but never got around to it. Ended up just giving to the ding repair guy down at Rehead, he did a ...

Re: Just general surfing stuff
I’m kind of uncomfortable about making these moral judgements on how people earn their income. I’ve had people on this forum have a dig because I worked for a big mining company. Clearly these people never need steel or copper or batteries or……. And then there’s Steve, who is paid by a company who ...

Re: Where did you surf today ?
I had a fifth shot on Monday. No bad reactions at all. A guy I was hanging out with in Bali got it so it's still a thing for sure. Also had a basal cell carcinoma on my forehead cut out a week ago. Surgeon did a skin graft to cover it up. I've had a compression bandage on it for a week. I'm seeing ...
