The Birds Nest is the athletics stadium... Hackett is a swimmer, you want that meteor on the water cube. Or did you mean that a few million chinese will be so inspired by Hackett winning the 1500m they will rise up and overthrow the government?? Fcuk it would be special if he won a 3rd though! The ...

Look out, Trev's turning into a paraphenalia man. If you rock up to Moffs this summer, he'll be the guy in boardies, boots, full length rashy, paddle gloves, Yassir Araf-hat, goggles of some description etc etc. :P It can't be helped Trev, you will hang with that loony sub culture of Goatboaters an...

Yep. Look at what happened in Sydney with solar power. Just after the turn of the century there was a solar power R&D company at Mascot jointly run by UNSW and Pacific Power. With solar power guru, Prof Martin Greene at the helm, this company's product was accepted as world class. At about this tim...

I will say it one more time for Lucky Al. Australian's do not embrace the whole USA 'chain culture' when it comes to restaurants and cafe's and the like the way the yanks do. Its not 'bullshit'. Its just fact. We love chain supermarkets (coz we don't have much choice) etc but not restaurants and ca...

And while I'm rolling along...we're not so bloody smart either. Take note of the renewable energy developments in European countries with a fraction of the access to sun, wind and tide as Australia. The sooner we wean ourselves off petrol the sooner we can cut the noose that ties us to shaky foreig...

It might have been an old wives' tale but I seem to remember the first person to ride it was Australian Rodney Sumpter who in the mid to late 60's was working as a lifeguard in the Channel Islands. There was a thread a little while ago about tide heights in different parts of Australia and someone p...
