I remember there was talk not too long ago about building an artificial reef to help make the left there rideable - it's probably popped up a few times over the years. I think it was knocked on the head to due to locals' concerns about increased traffic and congestion.

Those lefts at southy look great, banks must be lined up nicely. Used to surf it when it was breaking as a bodyboard grommet in the '80s - copped a bit of flack too (not heavy enough) but in swell like this it's a quality left
