It's sad to hear. What i want to know is why someone saw it and thought "i'll just walk off down the road and go tell someone about it" rather than actually seeing if there was a chance the person was conscious or not (very slim i know but still..). Or at least tell a lifeguard or someone who is ri...

My best ever example was an MP backyard board I had bought off a guy at Snapper before lobbing in Surry Hills for a year. It sat on the verandah and was rarely used since I didn't have a car and I hadn't worked out I could catch a train to the beach  Bailed out to go to Sri Lanka. After drivin...

Ricky G you should read Clifs original comments that started this thread. It is about people selling merchandise to inflame the situation in the 'nulla.

While I agree completely with most of the sentiments expressed here, I am getting very tired of living in a country where political correctness seems to take precedence over all others things, WTF? ... and where I am somehow meant to feel ashamed to be Australian on Australia day? Unfortunately rev...

Don't get a mal unless your actually interested in learning how to walk the board and nose ride. The ease of catching waves is negated by the lack of manouvrability unless you move around and that will teach you habits you wont use on a shortboard.

Manly and Cronulla are excellent learners waves.

I honour my god, I serve my queen, I salute the flag. Thats what we had to recite in front of the flag every morning at primary school in the 60s. At theatres everyone had to stand up as they showed footage of the queen before every movie  Theres always been a lot of crap associated with flag...

without that flag you wouldn't be here Well hector my rels came out here when the union jack ruled the roost in 1813 so don't come over all timelessly and mindlessly patriotic with regard to a british naval flag with some extra stars sewn on it at a much later date. The trouble with all this approp...

I would love to see the old british naval ensign get put back were it belongs. The only really good flag design is the aboriginal flag so we cant rip that off. Hey guys love the country, we're taking it and now you've got a flag we'll take that too cause your way better at design and meaningful symb...

They could sell them at the bottlo so they can make sure every drunken knucklehead in Cronulla has got one. I hope a pack of middle eastern car enthusiasts pulls up at the shop to buy some fluffy dice for their bluebird. I doubt theyd be as philosophical about it as you are Clif. I doubt theyd sell ...

Yeh I can get you an interview for a few bucks. Theyre a pretty underground crew who don't take to outsiders but since your a journo you should be right at home. The main guy is Spanish- Ratos De Agua and his Aussie mate Sammy the Sewer Rat. They just said on the radio the guy they hauled out of Lur...

Yes the old Cudgen Headland SLSC training comes to the fore in times of emergency or more likely keeping my resusc current. Jeez they've dumbed that down recently. Favourite journo cliche that was used by Mike Carlton on Saturday is the collapsing sand bank. Yes it collapsed as you walked off it int...
