I did a fair bit of that on my first surf when I didn't think about the fact I had warm water wax on.

That's the tidal prism stuff we were talking about Trev.
And the water being lazy.

I expect the tides to get a bit messy for a while, as the main channel will drain more quickly now so the lagged outflow from the canals will be easier.

Boo's back!

I'm back. But now that I'm in colder water I am loving my chest zip.

I've had a couple of really fun, really kooky surfs in the last couple of days. Regaining and retraining my atrophied skills.

3-5ft lefts up to 150m long, rocky reef platforms covered with some sand from a river mouth, sort of like a mirror image in shape of Trev's local, but it holds up to 15ft.

Camping up the north end before the bogans cottoned on was epic.

Trev you're right, the sand will just roll backwards and eventually join up on the landward side.
