Re: Surf Brands
Surf wear brands such as Billabong, Quicksilver, RipCurl etc have a large stake in professional surfing and fuel the surf industry and jobs within the sport from advertisements in magazines to sponsoring and nurturing up and coming grommets. A steadily shrinking stake. As for ads, I wonder how much...

Re: Is my board too long/thick/wide?
Simply buying a new board isn't going to make you a better surfer. In my experience... massive difference and major improvements but it's probably that's more a case of having devoped bad habits / poor technique over some 20 odd years and suddenly being "forced" to rethink / address them on new equ...

Re: Board Stance
Hmmm. That would suck. My $0.02... it's probably gonna be easier learning to take off switch than learning to surf natural footed. Easiest way is probably first just lying on the ground and practicing pop-ups with your right leg forward. Do maybe 20 or 30 a day, and also give it a go on a docile boa...

Ahh, Daize Shane, the same one that said that she voted for Dubya because he believes in god and so does she.... I remember her publicist sending me a load of video & audio promo stuff a few years back. She was a cutie so I thought what the heck... I'll give it a spin. About 43 seconds into the fir...

^^
The FCS TC fins were among my faves, but I often wondered a) how much TC actually had to do with them, and b) how many cents he got out of the >$100 RRP for a set.
How long do you reckon they kept running the royalty train to Sunny?

Re: Bong in big trouble
Shifting it back to the Bong… Was reading the NRMA Open Road yesterday and their 'Volt' article went into a bit of detail about the previous woes of GM, seemed they were pretty close to self destruction and 'seem' to be travelling fairly well now. I understand they were extended a lifeline but irre...

Re: Running people over... what's the protocol?
So the concensus seems to be if someone is in a spot where you can run them over, you probably should because this implies they have no idea and they probably deserve it. I tend to fall on the "avoid if possible" side, especially if there's a bit of doubt as to how easy it was to get out o...

He was head high to those boosies. :D I remember going and seeing SNMD at some grungy little arty farty cinema when it first came out. When the priceless "Adolf" and "Eva" death scene happened some stoner dude at the back of the room piped up with "Surf. Nazis. Are. DEAAAAAAAAAAAAAD!". Happy days.

Running people over... what's the protocol?
Last night I accidentally ( as opposed to deliberately ;) ) ran a guy over. He was completely minding his own business and wasn't really in the "wrong" place through any fault of his own. He was a fair way over in the channel and normally the wave would have broken inside of where he was, but it bro...

LOL and possibly one of Streetdaddy's last posts. Methinks he's probably too happy with his life on Europe's motorways in his Krautabago to bother posting here.

Ok ok look I was going to name them, and then thought I will give em two more days to get back to me ( don't know why)One of those days has now past so I will go close to naming them without doing so. One company produces a well known fin system which is a complete rip off and the other is a wetsui...

Doesn't Slater only eat raw organic food that was harvested under moonlight by elves no more than 3 feet high, or something like that? Yeah. right! Like there are any elves taller than 3 foot. I believe they are Gnomes, but Nick's comment still stands. Biatheletes ( and any stationary target compet...
