Re: current world tour...
Guys if the fix is on Slater wins money breeds corruption and the surf media need to fuel all this to keep the hype going No doubt Slater is the best surfer in the world over 30 but the current emphasis on the big move suits him and Dane to a tee Big moves are great but where's the flow whats the p...

Re: Concave depth
How do you measure your 27 litres of volume?
what do you relate this with in terms of your weight etc?
I just read some article about Matt Bilois talking about finding your ideal cubic volume or something

Re: current world tour...
seen plenty of footage on it on the webcasts replays etc. plus all the old 80's early 90's vids when i was a grom.
always looks bumpy, hard to surf....just doesnt appeal to me. i respect what the guys do out there and their skill level...just looks boring as a spectator.

Re: current world tour...
Sunset should never be allowed back... ever seen big sunset? it may not be primed for contest surfing, but in my book anyone that paddles out into big sunset should get championship points and a wad of cash No doubt it takes balls and years of experience to surf well/read the line-up.....but when w...

Re: current world tour...
This year is better but seriously it could be done 10 times better. Good to see contest safety surfers getting underscored appropriately ie Jeremy Flores, Neco etc Every wave on the tour should either have to fit the following criteria a) be hollow and/or b) have good ramps for above the lip moves T...

Re: current world tour...
Cangu should be on the world tour...perfect place for moves and offers both right and lefts, so doesnt disadvantage goofys or regulars. Closest thing to a wave pool and pretty much has swell 365 days per year.
Need more waves like this rather than bells burgers...

Well if it isnt a journalist that doesnt let a pile of jizz get in his way of telling a story about a pile of jizz! Ya know NC, ya remind me of the line about the angry editor who comes out of his office pissed off: Who called the journalist a bum? The reply? Who called the bum a journalist? Thats ...

Re: Internet, phones and crowds
I agree in the rule of surfing with no more than a group of 3 at a break. even that is pushing it.
I surfed a very secluded reef break on sautrday and had a carload of 8 young pros turn up in a van with a photographer. Like why bring that many to surf a tight take off spot?

slatz looking good and loose...coming into his favourite 3 legs....J Bay, Chopes and Trestles. Gonna be pretty hard to beat if he gets a swell at J-Bay... Good to see Jadson get up with some reckless surfing...for him though it seems conservative. Great judging....scroing critical turns instead of m...

Re: Braazeeell...
Judging has been great... i like the fact guys can take a closeout smash a big oop or reverse etc and get high scores. slaters in round 3 was a good example of good judging. In the past it seems like lesser talented guys waiting patiently and having good heat strategy were fairing better. now more t...

Top 5 surfers in the world in rippable waves for sure along with Taj, Dane, Parko, Kelly, JOB...maybe number 1 or 2 with Dane got every trick in the book and awesome hacks. my just struggle in under 2 foot. havent really seen him in the juice either. Re: Finless.Derek hynd, ridiculous!!!!!
Its stupid at this level.
Could be interesting 10 years down the track though...different rails, bottom curves, tails with fins built into the planks.
spinning out of control on waves is nearly as dumb as drop knee on a lid

Re: Time to start judging the journos!
Seems like 99% of journos suck off the pros heavily. Never here any criticisms....all peachy. I liked that Samuels guy from postsurf. He ripped into the system. Was so overdue. That top 44 evaluation he did was the best article in surfing and very very accurate 99% of time time. He has more skill th...

Re: Riding Motor Bike in Bali
Good way to shorten the odds on your life expectancy. I know 2 people who have died on motorbikes in Bali. After this I refuse to get on a bike over there. One of the guys probably would have survived with proper medical facilities. Its cheap and might save you 1 hours drivingbut be careful...the ro...
