Sorry Ron I thought they were all kooks but i was down there as a mate of mine is helping run the event and watched gilmour in two foot slop and she surfed some waves as good as most blokes.

Buttonshaw , I have video of him in the coke classic 87-88 and in the trials he went for massive floater and snapped his ankle and was carried from the surf, he looked a little more awkward in his style as he got taller. JS, awesome boards, love mine had two now both were sick. Had DHD was good as well but was occys so it fell to bits after 8months, thats ok knew when I got it it wouldnt last but performance wise was spot on.

hey mate, Go to Long reef sailboard and wetsuits they are usually one of the cheapest, or try one of the surf shops at collaroy selling last years model. Longy is your best bet mate and being quite light you dont need a board that thick, but give surf school ago wont hurt get the basic techniques do...

Great guy, needs more self belief and stay clear of bad influences. Chat to him in surf before he went Brazil, he had been labouring and did not like it much. That should keep him focused.

first time and last i think,had alright time, the line up was good but spent half my time lined up getting a beer and chasing my own ass trying to see a few diffrent acts, plus the sound was average at the orange and blue stages compared to other festivals.
