kyoto protocol

I notice that Don mentions the kyoto protocol in his comments today. Oh yeah, the Kyoto agreement comes into force today. It's a tiny, tiny step forward, but at least it's a step. Unfortunately, our government and the Americans have decided to have nothing to do with it. Sad and short-sighted in my ...

I prefer surfing alone, especially in the rain and even better when you are out of the city. Had many a great surf at Middle Rock by myself. You can't see any houses, just bush and beach stretching off as far as the eye can see. You can really start to imagine that no one else exists, love it, aweso...

eggs-fuggensactly themalben. what proportion of the 4mil in sydney are within 1 hour of quality, relatively uncrowded waves with a bit of juice. Id hazard a guess at about less than 10% live within 0.5hrs of relatively average crowded beachies that occaisionally turn out classic crowded days - u on...

I can see how surfers could get mad about the flags being in the best spots, but i prefer surfing in the months that they dont have the flags up anyway. The months when the flags aren't up is true bliss but in some ways that only increases the frustration because we were surfing that spot yesterday...

Ive never really understood this clubbie thing. My friend Cate is a surfer and also works at DY as a vol lifegaurd. You'd think most clubbies would be surfers if theyve chosen to work or volunteer at the beach? Why is there this rif between the two groups? Both love the ocean and i just think it we...

hahaha that's some funny stuff, "roller blades down Whistler". classic I've never thrown my snowboard in the pool but I'm pretty sure it sinks or would float just under the surface so that would be like surfing with an acnhor and the anchor being the board - lol. I'm not even sure the tow-in would w...

yeah the problem with Port Douglas is that it's protected from the open ocean by this thing called "The Great Barrier Reef", you've probably heard of it, it's one of the largest coral reef's in the world. The guy who named it clearly had very little imagination, it is quite a barrier. As mad said yo...
