Well my point of view on this is to always hang on to the board because if you ditch it did you ever stop to think that the leggy could snap, which it probably will in the conditions your describing after a few throw aways. Coastal Watch is crap and so are most of the other sites that have been mentioned. I go with Swellnet as it is the most accurate and I use it to back up my own predictions from looking at Stormsurf, Fleet Numerical Meteorology and Oceanography Center(www.fnmoc.navy.mil) charts and then a little prog...
