yeah i only wear a steamer when i have to, it is good to feel really toasty out there, and not have to worry about muscles tensing up from shivering. Although i only wear long arm short leg, the legs are just too restrictive.

i use the 10 dollar ones myself, only cause shoelaces can sometimes get pulled tight and the knot is so hard to undo, and also if you dont pay attention they'll get old you noticing and snap.....

yeah bat tails are a little looser, but with a clipped you can move from rail to rail quicker, and you can spin in more difficult places because its easier to re set your rail again

definitely makes you more committed to landing moves and making barrels. but feck, depending on the surf, its not worth missing out on sets while you swim in to get your board....
