Re: that wetsuit discussion...

You mean the suit was custom made for an Irish football player?
I was speculating about the cut of suits in Japan where the suits come from.

Yeh.
It’s pretty good.
Not a perfect fit but does a solid job.
I’m picturing the guy it was made for as that classic Irish footy player build, strong and solid through the hips, wiry arms, small chest.
Rather than a Japanese guy. Do they make wetsuits with short legs over there?

Re: Hernias

So, went to specialist. Ultrasound needed then possibly both sides done in 2 to 3 weeks after that.

I know it's an inch thicker, but even allowing for that it's way, way heavier and stiffer and harder to paddle in.
No wonder it's a bit stiff.
I noticed that too

Man, Narrabeen looks ordinary. Lots of close outs and rail bogs.

Re: Hernias

Off to the specialist tomorrow to get my hernia assessed.
Had a surf today. Have to take it fairly carefully but got a couple I was happy with.
Really notice not surfing much the last week or so.
Popping up being the main issue and initially laying down. Paddlings pretty good.

Re: Where did you surf today ?

50 out at Bronte. A bit smaller than yesterday. Nice conditions with a few good looking waves in the mix but too crowded for basically one peak.

Re: Injuries Blog

Just have a word to Bugs about where he gets his long pants. He had some impressively baggy ones on yesterday during the broadcast.

Some good looking waves at Bronte today….plus a fair few closeouts. 60 guys in the water so gave it a miss.

I never realised Baja was one of the most violent parts of Mexico. Guess I’ve watched too many longboarding movies.

Yes, and I will thank you Leej, and everyone else here for providing that safe space for me to have my rant.

Amazing how cathartic letting off some steam can be!
No worries, old pal. :-D-: :P

Re: Just general surfing stuff

My absolute worst type of wave is one with a tight small take off area where situations like this are more or less geared into the experience.

Re: Just general surfing stuff

That’s what happened to a friend of mine. Went to take off and someone had eaten it on the take off. He tried to miss them and got pushed into the wall and dragged down the pool.

Re: Where did you surf today ?

Well yesterday made up for the last three surfs I had at Bronte. Floundering around catching nothing. Just had to be philosophical and enjoy the view. Yesterday was just a classic little surf day. Got plenty of waves. Good vibes in the water. Happy with how I was surfing.
