Personally I think people can look pretty stupid wearing gear like that as they get older. I'm sure I do when I get decked out in some of the dubious surf attire I've accumulated over the years. But that suits me fine :D I don't mind looking like a dork on the weekend and the kids think its funny. I...

I have seen a lot of McCoys in the water and hear a lot of guys swearing by them but I haven't seen many people surfing them real well. This goes double for the long boards. They seem like an okay board for Sydney junk surf if you want to cruise but I would be looking for something else to surf qual...

I always try to approach surf behaviour like road behaviour. I try to stick to the simple rules but sometimes don't. I avoid crazy drivers and surf/road rage situations. Someone cutting you off is infuriating but not a reason to try to kill them. Being a local doesn't mean you own the place but help...

Everyone knows that the manly to palmy stretch has the only ridable lefts on the east coast of australia :D . Don't be fooled by those bumpers stickers they have on their cars '......Somewhere on Australia's East Coast'. Just follow them to the rare lefthanders that breaks at their secret beaches. A...

As with all surfers its the few who can put all the stunts together with aggressive surfing and great wave knowledge that are worth watching. I hate to tell you boogers but any surfer who knows how to get barrelled can pull in after a couple of sessions on a lid :D Unfortunately the same cannot be s...

I love walking along the street and seeing a skater practicing a few moves on the curb. Usually as you get closer they will try to do something impressive just as you walk past. This invariably ends with them flat on their arse on the sidewalk

Just saw your movie, freefilms. I'm not sure its for everyone but I really liked it. You take quite a few chances making it so personal, reading quotes from various authors, split screens and all. I think you've pulled it off :D Its one big texture shot. Probably closer to the idea of surfing than w...

First time I surfed Nth Narra I paddled out a bit south. Not on a mal in those days. I think I had a 6'4" squaretail. Paddled towards the main peak. A wide one came through and I got it :D Bowled right through to the inside. Hollow and really carvable all the way on my backhand :D I went yahoo this ...

How much does he weigh :?: Thats the other factor not discussed with this. If someones 78 k and five six on a relatively big board then its easy to noseride. The average punter buys the same size board and wonders why he's hopeless.
Don't worry I don't wonder I know why I'm hopeless :D
