thanks for the replies guys. South America does sound amazing and I havent been there yet. But I am honestly a bit concerned about travelling on my own there with no spanish or portugese. Has anyone here done it solo? If i had a travel mate id be there in a shot. Ive travelled on my own around Europ...

Strange to hear that people dont hang onto these items. Winning the comp would have been one of the highlights of his BB career, you'd think he would have kept it. I know I would.marcus wrote:had a ms turbo 3, as ridden by winner of first island comp, gave it to solid bodyboard shop on long term loan.

I stayed at my uncle's over the holidays. He is one of the keenest surfers out there and has NEVER got rid of a board. His son's are also well and trully on the collection/hording wagon. I estimate they would have 200-300 boards. They are everywhere, in old cars, under the house, in the shed, in bus...

I cross my legs, at the ankles, when paddling. Have trieds to uncross them but it doesnt feel natural. Also when riding a mal, I do big leg kicks in time with my strokes, just like the clubbies.
