Never heard 2ft described as “firing”. Nothing a week of 6ft+ southerlies won't fix. The banks are shot. It needs need some sand action or a lagoon blow out. It was a brilliant "lifes a beach" weekend though with the contest n piss up. If ya thinking of coming down to Copa, give it a miss. Not worth...

I managed to snag some rippers out at copa the other day as well. Whilst the Tsunami comp was on, the banks are good there at the moment. .Whitey. Crap. the whole beach is square, the waves are crap and the place is infested by lid riders and the weekend was 2ft slop. Shelly Beach or North Entrance...

Now the dominant ethic is to be chilled out and share the waves.........but you know I never really got the hang of that and I'm not going to start trying now. LOL I am with you. To recognize a kook just watch what their legs are doing when they are paddling. Feet as outriggers means kook. Don't ge...

There are lots of options in life that will keep you surfing. You may have to have a few strategic breaks whilst you chase the dollars but if you can resist the Bling addiction, the expensive wife + 4WD syndrome and find a nice spot on the coast ouside a major city ya don't need a fortune to live on...

Yeh its cool. There are some really nice spots on the Cal coast. I just get angry sometimes at the mess. But hey LA has how many people? I surfed Trestles in the early 80s and then again mid 80s and then went back through the area thrice in the last 5 years and I was amazed at the development. I alw...

Look its just fine getting all nostalgic about the good old days but in the short space of 30 years the great American dream has stuffed so much of the Cal coastline yet no one seems to give a stuff. They wallow in history whilst the coastline is desecrated by cheap WGAF lifestyle. Ya all sold out i...

Huntington is just plain awful.

Smog\fog, dribble, muscle cops in hot pants, skank ho's, really fat people, rubbish. About as much charisma as Jakarta Harbour on a wet night.

I broke the very end of a floating rib in Mexico. I just felt "bad" and the rib was sort of wobbly on the end but not much pain. 3 days outa the water resting in the low clouds of the floating hammock of tranquility and all was well but now it sticks out a bit weird.

There is the peak fade left n go right move. The take off on the right side of the peak and go left n tuck in the barrel. The stand up first and fade to the inside in front of the "slow" stander. The pull back on the shoulder, let the inside guy drop in and drop in behind him (a malcontents educatio...
