Re: Where did you surf today ?

South coast near a island last week all on my own - very enjoyable but noticed the colder water. Today late afternoon at DY - not bad (and yes the crowds seem to be about after being thin for weeks).

Fanning's win was the highlighted on the start of the ABC sport show Offsiders this morning - the host stated he watched his first ever live surf broadcast on Foxtel (found the red button and was "very impressed with the coverage"). lots of talk about the shark, the comeback, how great Mick is, spor...

Re: Where did you surf today ?

Again Manly (yes I know...) and same close outs (I was hoping the lower tide would help but it didn't - at least the wife enjoyed the walk)............and the cam for DY did have some rather bigger waves this afternoon (from the point right thru to the beach)

Re: Where did you surf today ?

Just watched the cam for mid Narrabeen - couldn't believe the numbers in the water (after visiting/watching for 2+ years with no one ever out). Just like the 70s again.....

Re: The big NE swell this weekend

Checked out Manly this afternoon and as big and clean as I have ever seen it up near Queenscliff. No tow ins and guys were able to make the paddle out. Just awesome to watch.

Re: Where did you surf today ?

Around Manly after avoiding the local fun run (sure Tony Abbott would be there somewhere preying on voters). Not bad for one hour or so and at least a chance to get in the water during our ongoing 'summer' weather

Re: Where did you surf today ?

Mid Manly mid morning and to my surprise caught a few and good end to the week (when I was leaving the tide had swallowed up the waves) - it seems a strange swell, swellnet etc report it as around 2-3 foot (where ???) and only Curly on the cams seems to have a crowd (and mainly close outs)
