FYI sideways have a range of Phil Myers free flight channels. Made in indo thus cheaper.

Any idea what the construction quality is like ? Blanks, glassing etc? Even if they’re well priced, it’d be a shame to see one fall apart like an al merrick etc

I've felt them up, they feel solid enough..... but you'd need 6 months on one too test the durability.

Here's a soulful sunday morning kickback aprés surf circa sixties seventies inspired single fin spin ...

Far from high performance, but nicely pieced together nonetheless.

I have a Sideways board, a Phil six channel diamond tail, surfed it a bit, solid as, no issues.

Good to hear Phil hasn’t compromised for cost

The factory that’s been laminating Phil’s boards has started doing Geoff McCoys So I figure the quality finish must be good

Hi-perf singles. Polfer Hull Designs. Dude clearly rips but it looks so far removed from single fin lines that I can’t relate it to single fin surfing at all. Moreover it’s thruster lines but looser and tighter in the pocket which is impressive.

I’m glad that vid is there. Looking at the bottom contour/rail, I was having trouble working out how it would performance. Odd design but clearly works.
