Maybe you can build a memorial to Kelly's career and take all the WSL commentators to it, so they can be convinced that it's done.

Barton said today that he still has a world title in him.

My mate recommended Australian Crawl and I was a bit sceptical at first but then I gave Things Don't Seem a whirl and it was alright for me so I just listened to Phalanx for a few heats before passing out.

Like Medina surfed a 19-plus heat and they missed the takeoff on both waves.

You've got to be in the rhythm of a swell like today's and know not to blink when something's about to go down.

I've spent the last hour trying to go back over heat replays and the analyser to make sense of it.

there's alot of very confusing cuts and half waves shown.

Somehow I think the judges mostly figured it out.

I don't think Kelly will be happy.

What was kelly mad about mid heat splashing the water in anger at the judges?
I kind of just glanced past it then.

Okay Nick but here's the catch: it's going to be a Kelly memorial with no Kelly in it, and it's going to be called "Kelly's Gone". What do you reckon it should have in it? I'm thinking a pair of Quikky boardies, some carbon fibre strips, a million boarding passes and two million broken hearts. Something like that.

Would an eternal flame be overdoing it? Maybe just surf vids on repeat would deliver the same message and feeling.

We'll include that Quiksilver poster of him standing upright in that left barrel of course. But in bronze. :) Kelly's going to love this! Ooh, but what if he doesn't? I hope we don't get into trouble with him! I'll say it was you, Nick! Teehee!

anything that causes the commentary team to stop blowing smoke up his arse and ignoring the guy who's beating him.
They didn't even know Jack has a winning record on him. Never tried to address why he was so pissed after that wipeout/barrel exchange (did he think he had priority? were they slow in getting Jack's first score out?)

You can treat a surfer with respect and still accurately recount how a heat is going.

Is it going to happen again tonight? I might need to take a nap and buy a box of goon to prepare.

I feel you need stimulants to counter the depressant drug alcohol Lucky Al, or this whole magnificent final day will slip right past!
