Blame the bulldozers that push sand into all the gutters......when Bondi Rescue isn't running.

I'm considering joining the throng at powerpuff point tomorrow. Someone talk me out of it please!

Well that’s pretty much a wrap on the swell, declining as we speak down here from around 8’ earlier this morning to maybe 6’ now, still the odd bit of beef though.

Got some good uns on the 6’9” 10 channel singly yesterday then backed it up with two surfs on Little Sister, the 9’8” CC. The wavesd weren’t really worthy of that thing but I try to surf it whenever I half reasonably can, because I wanna be tuned into it when a worthy day does show up

Got my sweetest wave of the swell on it, a solid 8’er which must mean 25’ on the face but I am not sure about the kilojoules, though according to the Watch I burned 2300 of the fcukers during the session, perhaps there is a relationship between a swell’s kilojoules and the amount of kilojoules you end up burning to surf it. But let’s not go there eh.

Little Sister is more like a knife than a gun, she’s the first 9’-plus board I’ve had that actually likes taking off under the lip. She just goes in smooth.

What's the dimensions and shape, etc. of the Little Sister Nick?

Little Sister, 9'8" x 20.25" x 3.75" pintail, slightly rounded at the pod, long clean curve outline, very foiled thicknesses tapering back from a peak about 4' back from the nose, slight but hard vee rising and falling throughout to match the curve and vanishing through the fins. Deck domes off in the thicker areas to bring the rails down to match. 1/2" red cedar stringer. 2 x 3 6oz glass, epoxy resins. Futures boxes, five banger but I use it as a quad with Lopez G10-glass towboard fins.

It's got a cool slightly beaked nose! And it's deep butter yellow.

That sounds perfect. I'm always checking out the large range of guns available at the Drifta surfshop on the bukit. I like looking at any specialised and perfectly designed object, but especially high performance cars, motorcycles and surfboards.

it was pretty much as expected: 6ft ( I could not call 8ft with a straight face and nor could anyone else I spoke to who surfed it), wonky, burgery, lot of noise in the signal because the head of the fetch extended so far up the NSW coast.
alot of obvious period drag where it had been dragging on the shelf slope.

some fun ones. Big paddle.

Most impressive thing I saw was Rasta's paddle out. He went right around the corner with a pal. My brother jumped off , swept straight down the boat channel, same with my mate.
Rasta appeared in a heavy churn of whitewater and got caught in the worst possible spot by a set.
Thats it he's gone I thought.

he quartered hard against the current and duck dived 20 waves, hardly losing position at all then got across the bank and ended up right out the back. Hundreds of metres closer to the peak than my brother and mate, both experienced surfers and good paddlers on big boards.

I rode the 7'3" Aleutian Juice to see if it had easy handling in bigger surf, which I expected it would seeing as it is built off a Jeff Hakman template.
it was so smooth and drivey, even with 15-20 knots of sideshore wind. Really great at expansive, cross country surfing.

Last wave I paddled in deep as I could trying to get in on a doubled up swell line and got a little chip shot in. Just a huge lined up wall stretched out. I think I gave myself a little hoot about half way down the line, only for sheer joy. No self aggrandisement Beans. There was hardly anyone out at that stage anyway.

I give it eleven and a half stars.

Self-yewwing. To the surf court. Wyre presiding. He's known as the hanging judge.

Surfed the farm from noon til a bit after 3. Only me and two others out at start. It was a respectable 6ft and has now dropped out to 4-5. Fairly jumbled peaks from yesterday’s winds but clean faces with plenty of waves to pick off. Got a few long rides, mostly rights off the west corner and mid beach. Got one absolute screamer, an early roll in out the back into a bowl that kept getting rounder and steeper and ran about 80 metres or more. Surfed the 6”10 rabbidge mini gun

The Roy? Just drove past it. Looked around 2ft. Swell dying, it’ll be more manageable at other beaches tomorrow.

Congratulations if you weren't working and got some waves today.

Not sure where the "no self aggrandisement, beans" fits in but jolly good show.

So if you weren’t working today you’d have gone out? (Belambi doesn’t count)

Lets face it....Hatchie, you're a fcuking core man. Maybe I would...maybe I wouldn't. If the stars line up it might happen....but Hatchie the bit you're missing is I've had my times just like you're having yours and on occasion I enjoy having a chop....but for some reason you feel the need to goad a 62 year old surfer who's working 9 to 5 about not taking the day off and throwing himself into triple overhead surf.

There's a top of page to be proud of.
Bondi had flipped the switch to summer mode today. Fcuk it was packed with tourists. Some okayish banks but way too crowded in and out of the water. Mind boggling range of people.
