You know when you have a bruise and you keep pushing it so that you can keep saying, "Ow, that hurts!"? That's why.

hurts?

it's pure pleasure.

I don't look at it that much Godsave.....once a month or so when I see the charts look juicy, just to see how far they will over-egg it.

just for a laugh.

And when you look at it, presumably you privately acknowledge that it’s only guessing swell height at some unspecified point offshore and not wave height? You’re only hamming it up for laffs on here, right?

To tell the truth eggs are one thing I avoid buying when I’m grocery shopping. So you may say I’m an intermittent egg buyer who usually lets someone else buy them.

What’s your gut feel saying for this Thursday Steve? For central-to-southern NSW? As I’m thinking of wagging work for it. Looks fairly promising so far.

He doesn’t have gut feelings iggy, he just looks at forecasting sites then passes their info off as his own

It’s not a bad strategy. My tactic is I average the reports out between SN/CW, then deduct 20% off their calls as over-froth/click-bait, and pack a couple of different boards so I’ve got options either way. Works a treat.

It's gunna be sizeable Iggs, but very directional. Straight S, with some refraction.
strong W winds probably clocking SW as the fetch moves into the Tasman.

You know where that means.

You'd have to think 8-10ft there.

I think the Point here will be that big Fri but with too much S in the angle.

Back of Flatrock will be a spot I'll check. It can be insane in big South swells.

and to be honest my gut feeling is the initial pulses and the backside of the swell are going to see the best waves.

Yeah looks like it’s gonna be pretty big and grunty. The stiff west winds are a worry. It’ll be a trade off between size and quality.

I asked Steve in 2011 about an area in Indo I was going to. He was pretty much inline with all the forecast sites. Then he got back in contact when I was there and said, “ check that Jimmy there’s another pulse in the way from the SW” paraphrased but close.
The pulse happened and took all the surf guides by surprise and there was a case of beer waiting for him at the Lennox Hotel.

it's not even dry fly fishing getting a rise out of you over Magic Seaweed Godsave.

it's quite touching the way you defend their honour against the colonials.

Would it be fair to say that Magic Seaweed is using broadsword technology in a musket world?
