Yeah I would’ve like to trade my go out today for yesterday. Best wave I saw today was in Wyres neck of the woods. A solid five-six foot right-hander bombie peak with a grinding wall on offer. But a stack of water running inside that would’ve swept all and sundry to straight to stanwell park.

It’s up a notch or 2 this morning down sth. Bit cleaner but still has a wonk in it from yesterday’s onshore. Nowhere local is handling it. Local reefs are breaking wide. Beaches are shutting down. Swell needs to settle a bit. Be better up the coast I would think as the swell has a bit more time to arrange its skirts.

Yeah it was much smaller than I expected this morning. The crazy low tide ain't doing the swell any favours at that time (which is my only time)

Reckon it is gonna muscle up again for tomorrow?

I'm almost feeling guilty I'm riding so many good waves lately.

it's a weird feeling when you surf a world class wave at it's best, and weirder when it's your homebreak and it's literally a stones throw away.

it becomes surreal.

you have these amazing peak experiences then you go home and make afternoon tea for the kids.

Well it more than halved in size and intensity this morn and still bumpy from yesterday’s NEterly.

I’m sure it will have picked up and pumped when I check back in here later.
Early was my only option though.

not sure whether you are being sarcastic Loof, but yeah, much happier.

I'm always pretty happy around the kids though, just got a patient temperament.

No not at all, I remember how stoked I was after catching heaps of pumping point waves on my last overseas trip, to come straight in into family life after being in the water would have been a trip.

Based on that surf report what kind of surf would you expect Cranked?

Waist high with a few head high sets and a fifty fifty chance of the "glass" actually occurring.
