There's about 10 quite good reef breaks spread over about 10k. If the offshore reef didn't block and disrupt the swell the area would really rate as a surf location, but it does and it isn't

The attenuated, wonky swell that comes over the reef. The swell exposure of the WA coast is mind boggling, way better than indo

Spent a lot of time in that location in my teens. I remember a good beachie prior to a housing development ruining it, then 10 minutes further were the reefs you are talking about.

Always surprised more people didn’t head down there and surf it.

Diffrraction by numerous gaps in the reef change a 3m swell into wonky 1m as the diffracted waves collide

I had a tick on my balls once that gave me an anaphylactic reaction.

Are there ticks in Wales?
Yes, but I’m guessing the Australian version is a comically malformed brute with a discernible exoskeleton and limpid sightless eyes that sniffs out the gonads of its prey with a quivering whisker’d snout and latches on with a fanged cloaca

You were lucky you didn’t end up with lymes disease
Ha. According to NSW Health there is little evidence that it occurs in Australia.
They also reckon Roundup is okay to spray everywhere. I thought the Northern Beaches was GHQ for ticks on the East Coast.

Yeah. I wasn't agreeing with them but I've read a few stories where people have difficulty getting officialdom to accept they might have it if they haven't been overseas.

I still don't buy the "official" narrative about 9/11. Oh sure, it happened, fcuk yeah. But who and why and how I'm, not convinced it was what we've been told.

Fun as at the open beach here. Couldn't believe it, smooth and pesky with some decent sets still coming through.

I have a bad feeling what feels like a big, drawn out backhand turn looks more like an old man reaching for the biscuit tin, but I had a ball trying.

Edit- peaky, not pesky

That's not good enough, Duck. The work from home crew will expect you to have paddled out regardless.

I must say Bondi was packed with Westies yesterday arvo. All heading off for a go on the ice rink and the Ferris wheel.
