Is it necessary to describe a shark attack as unprovoked.
Re: Nth NSW sharks. Can they p!ss off already?
I think provoked/unprovoked is part of the stats that have been captured just about forever.

Apart from waving a pointy stick and calling a shark names, apparently someone spearfishing carting around a dead fish classes as provoked.

Fishing off a kayak a couple of Klms out might qualify too.

The moving finger writes and having writ moves on ... now all thy piety nor wit shall lure it back to cancel even half a line ... nor all thy tears wash out a single word of it.

Not far from Ballina to Evans Head as the shark swims.

I still don't buy the "official" narrative about 9/11. Oh sure, it happened, fcuk yeah. But who and why and how I'm, not convinced it was what we've been told.

yes the terrifying impact of a Wobbegong
Re: Nth NSW sharks. Can they p!ss off already?
I suspected as much. Foot injury 20 metres from shore.
But the report led into a great speil about how Australia Ianthe worst in the world for shark deaths.

And WA is the worst. When you take into account the surfer population it must be at least 10 times more likely for a surfer to be killed by a shark in WA

The last time somebody died of a shark attack at Manly was in the notorious summer of 1935, when four people died in a month on various Sydney beaches from attacks, mostly by great whites. That hastened the placement of nets off four of those beaches, including Manly. In the first season the nets caught over 650 sharks.
